Step 1: Get your instant quote
Enter your pickup and delivery ZIP codes, a pickup timeframe, open or enclosed, and your vehicle's year, make and model. Our pricing engine checks live carrier rates on your lane and returns an all-in price in about 30 seconds. "All-in" means door-to-door service and carrier cargo insurance are included and no fuel surcharge is added later. The quote is free and carries no obligation; many customers run two or three to compare open against enclosed or a flexible window against a fixed date.
Step 2: Book and schedule pickup
When you are ready, book from the quote. Nothing is charged until a carrier is assigned to your order. Dispatch offers your shipment to vetted carriers on your lane, each one verified for active operating authority, a clean safety record and current cargo insurance. Once a carrier accepts, you receive its name, the driver's contact, the insurance details on request and a confirmed pickup window. The deposit is collected by card at that point, and the balance is paid to the driver on delivery or prepaid in full if you prefer.
Pickup windows run one to five days in most areas, shorter in big metros, and expedited service secures a specific date. The driver calls the day before with an arrival window, and again about an hour out.
Step 3: Pickup, transit and delivery
At pickup you and the driver inspect the vehicle together and record its condition on the bill of lading. Take your own photos as well. Sign, hand over a key, keep your copy. The car is loaded and secured, and you receive a pickup confirmation. During transit you get a check-in from your coordinator and can call for a status update at any time. Before delivery the driver calls ahead; at delivery the recipient inspects the car against the pickup report, notes anything that doesn't match, signs and pays any balance due. That's it.
What happens behind the scenes
- Pricing. Rates come from what carriers are actually accepting on your lane this week, not a table from last year.
- Carrier vetting. Authority, safety record and insurance are checked before a carrier is offered your load, every time.
- Dispatch. Your shipment is matched to a truck whose route, capacity and equipment fit your vehicle and dates.
- Coordination. One coordinator owns your shipment from booking to delivery and is the person who answers when you call.
Timelines at a glance
Quote: 30 seconds. Carrier assignment: usually one to three days, same day with expedited service. Pickup window: one to five days. Transit: one to two days per 500 miles. A typical California-to-Texas move runs about a week end to end; coast to coast, ten days to two weeks including the pickup window.
Paying for your shipment
A deposit by card once a carrier is assigned, then the balance to the driver at delivery by cash, cashier's check or certified funds, or the full amount prepaid by card if you'd rather not handle payment at the door. Your coordinator confirms the split when you book. There are no hidden fees; the only common add-on is a winch fee for a vehicle that doesn't run, which is quoted up front.
